DIRECT BILLING to insurance is available for Ontario clients with many insurance companies, such as Green Shield, Canada Life, Manulife, NIHB (Non-Insured Health Benefits for First Nations and Inuit), Sun Life and many more. To direct bill NIHB, we require your legal name, address, phone number, date of birth and status number to request pre-approval 3 business days prior to your first appointment.

Hypnotherapy with a Registered Social Worker is covered by most extended health benefit plans under Counselling services.

NEW CLIENT BOOKING INFORMATION (PLEASE READ): Intake appointments for new clients are normally 2 hours, which includes the intake process and your first session if time permits. If you book a 1-hour intake appointment, it will include the intake process only. When you book an intake appointment, you will receive an online intake and consent form. Please complete it before your appointment. If this is not possible, it will be completed during your appointment.

CANCELLATION POLICY: We require 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Clients who provided less than 48 hours notice or who miss their appointment will be charged for the appointment. Future appointments will not be scheduled until the fee is paid in full. Clients who miss or late cancel two appointments (except in case of emergency) will be discharged, as this prevents others on our wait list from accessing services.

We will call you at the consult appointment time. If you will be unavailable at your appointment time, please notify our office in advance by emailing admin@amethystwellnessgroup.com. If you do not answer the phone and/or return our call within your consult time slot, the complimentary consult will not be rescheduled, although you are most welcome to schedule an intake appointment or a paid consult.

Business coaching and/or high performance coaching with coaches who are also certified hypnosis practitioners.

Christine Galati

Christine Galati is a Registered Social Worker (MSW) and Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist candidate (May 2026). She has Masters of Social Work specializing in children and families, Honours Bachelor of Social Work and Bachelor of Arts and over fifteen years of experience in counselling.

Christine has experience and training, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Mindfulness techniques. She works from a place of supporting individuals in recognizing their existing strengths and inner resilience. She has worked with clients of all ages from children to seniors.

Christine works with teens (17+ years old) and adults, helping them to overcome anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, and addictions; and to improve their self esteem and stress management skills.

Client focused goals are the driving force to supporting individuals in reaching their highest potential and increasing a sense of peace and wellbeing.

Niina Vastamaki MSW

Niina Vastamaki is a Registered Social Worker and Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist at Amethyst Wellness Group. She has Masters of Social Work, Honours Bachelor of Social Work and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology degrees and over six years of experience in counselling. Niina has other certifications and training, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Mindfulness Meditation and the BLAST Technique® Practitioner Certification (a bilateral stimulation technique similar to EMDR for PTSD, Trauma, grief, fears, phobias, and more).

Niina works with adults, helping them to overcome anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, and addictions; and to improve their self esteem and stress management skills. She also helps clients with dozens of other challenges which can be resolved using evidence-based hypnosis techniques and processes, including smoking cessation, weight management, fears, phobias, IBS, tinnitus, and more.
